A 2-row potato digger is a specialized agricultural implement designed to unearth potatoes from two rows simultaneously,
streamlining the harvesting process for small to medium-scale potato farmers. Unlike a full harvester, a potato digger focuses primarily on lifting potatoes from the soil and leaving them on the surface for manual collection, rather than fully separating or conveying them.

Key Features
1. Dual Digging Blades: Equipped with two adjustable shares or blades that penetrate the soil beneath two potato rows
(typically spaced 60-90 cm apart).Blades lift potatoes along with some soil and vines, depositing them on the ground.

2. Vibrating or Static Sieves: Basic models use static blades to lift and loosen soil, while more advanced versions include vibrating sieves or chains to shake off excess dirt.

3. PTO-Driven Operation: Connects to the tractor’s PTO to power the digging mechanism, ensuring consistent performance.

How It Works
1. Setup: The digger is attached to a tractor via a three-point hitch or tow bar, and the PTO shaft is connected.

2. Digging: As the tractor moves forward, the two blades cut into the soil beneath the potato rows, lifting the tubers, soil, and vines.

3. Separation: The lifted material passes over a sieve or conveyor (if equipped), where vibration or gravity removes some soil,leaving potatoes exposed on the surface.

4. Collection: Workers follow behind to manually pick up the potatoes, which are left in neat rows or piles.
