BL series leaf chains are considered “heavy duty” style leaf chains because of their thick side panels and oversized pins. The large pins are an ANSI B299 standard that enables these chains to have ultra-high tensile strength and shock load capacity. For example, a BL8 series leaf chain uses an ANSI #100 chain pin diameter.
