The lubrication system on the Claas Rollant 62 wobble-shaft baler is automatic and uses one gallon of oil per 1000 bales of material. Oiling the pickup chains was recommended every 8 to 10 hours, and maintenance required changing eight of the 35 grease fittings. The machine's operator manual also suggested servicing the gear box oil and changing eleven of the 35 grease fittings every 500 hours. After two weeks of use, the test farm operators were very satisfied with the performance of the Claas Rollant 62 wobble-shaft class baler. The tractor produced durable, uniform bales, with fl on the ends and a diameter uniform across the width. However, the quality of the bales depended on the experience of the operator and the quality of the hay. Failure to feed the baler evenly results in barrel-shaped bales. CLAAS's QUADRANT 2200 The QUADRANT 2200 wobble-shaft class baler produces 120 cm x 70 cm bales. Originally, this was the largest baler size available. However, CLAAS has refined this design and now offers a range of models that produce larger bales. These models include a high-power knotter and an automatic pressure control system. In 1999, CLAAS introduced the QUADRANT 2200 baler. This machine was equipped with a new powertrain, frame construction, and a CLAAS Control Terminal. It offered higher throughput and a higher bale density, which translated into higher worker/hour profitability ratios. It was a major advancement in class balers. CLAAS's ROLLANT 400 family of fixed chamber balers A wobble shaft is a key feature of CLAAS's ROLLANT 400 series of fixed chamber balers. This design allows the baler to move more easily in both directions while still maintaining a steady bale height. The wobble shaft also prevents the bale from catching on anything, ensuring a more even distribution of weight. The Wobble Shaft System (MPS) technology developed by CLAAS was first introduced on fixed chamber round balers in 1999. This feature allows the bale to spin more quickly and is more uniform than a traditional fixed chamber model. This new compaction process reduces energy use and produces more evenly shaped bales. This makes it possible to create larger bales while still maintaining a low energy requirement. CLAAS's PICK UP LD baler In 1958, CLAAS first introduced the PICK UP LD baler, which would later be renamed the LD baler. This baler was known for its high-quality woven polyethylene bales. The LD baler had a chamber width of 100 cm, and it was the company's most powerful model, producing work rates of 18 tons per hour. The PICK UP LD baler's unique design combines high-quality performance and durability with easy operation and rugged design. The machine's innovative 360-degree rotor is geared for maximum core compaction. Its wrapper system makes bales better-shaped than ever, and its integrated electronic controls are simple and easy to use. The baler is equipped with an iPad-compatible control system for user convenience and increased productivity. CLAAS's QUADRANT 3400 The QUADRANT 3400 wobble-shaft class baler is a modern, high-performance machine with impressive productivity and versatility. Its switchable antechamber, patented CLAAS Intelligent Feeding System and easy-to-wrap silage bales make it a popular choice among grassland farmers. The new machine is capable of significantly higher operating hours and is equipped with an automatic pressure control system. CLAAS introduced the QUADRANT 3400 baler in 2006, which introduced revolutionary performance features. Its patented dual roller crop press presses the crop perfectly and actively transfers it to the rotor. The small distance between the pickup and rotor ensures efficient interaction between the two components. The QUADRANT 3400 can process 60 tonnes of straw per hour, which is higher than the capacity of the QUADRANT 2200. CLAAS's MEDIUM baler Known as the ROLLANT RAPID 56, this non-stop round baler was the world's first. It collected the crop, formed it into a round bale, wrapped it in a net, and set it down. Its fully automated system was a dream come true for contractors and large farming operations alike. The MEDIUM baler's features included a longer chamber, a stronger moving baling ram, and adjustment spindles. Its special bearings and wobble shaft resulted in reduced lubrication times and improved storage stability. The QUADRANT 3200 and 2200 produced 120 cm x 70 cm bales. The QUADRANT 5200 and 4200 have an automatic pressure control system that makes operating the new balers a breeze. Both the MEDIUM and QUADRANT models have a high-power knotter. And the new MEDIUM baler is equipped with a CLAAS high-power knotter.
